Personal:

I was married in 1997 to my beautiful wife Lybi (confessions of a piano teacher on the blog), and we have 3 wonderful boys who are just as active as I was when I was little (he he). I grew up in southeastern Michigan, and my family became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 6. I attended BYU, and served a mission in Berlin, Germany. After graduating from BYU with a degree in Health and Human Performance (pre-physical therapy), I promptly changed careers and started working with computers (although no programming for me). We have moved across the country several times, and currently live in Mesa, AZ.  I work in computer security for a major nationwide homebuilder.

Lunch - tempo run today.  It was quite windy, which made things pretty interesting.  First mile was probably around MP or a little slower, then the rest of the miles were more like 1/2 MP, but I am counting them as threshold miles.  Average pace for the run was 6:45/mile.  The last mile of the run was most interesting - I had a strong wind of about 20-30 mph blowing in my face the entire time.

On a side note, the geeky side of me is happy about having gotten a new touchscreen cell phone - it is awesome.

For those of you who don't know James, he has two sides; a geeky side and a runner side. That's about it.

LOL! Just giving you a hard time.

He has more sides than that, but what else do you expect to find on a COMPUTER-based RUNNING community.

He's romantic for one...

And he's very musical too--great singer, plays piano, ballroom dances etc. etc. He's a speed reader, types a bajillion words a minute, plus he can take you out with Tae Kwon Do, so I'd watch it if I were you, Burt. :)

Lybi, I'm more afraid of you...! ;)

And rightfully so . . . :D

Better be careful or I might sit on you...

I'm not saying I don't think James could take me, I'm just saying you would leave more lasting damage. (And not because you might sit on me. LOL.)
