Lunch - I ran outside again, but this time I was smart enough to use sunscreen to cover my alabaster skin that is normally protected (i.e. my shoulders and neck). It was a beautiful day out, and maybe that led to my running faster than I realized. I thought I was only doing 4 miles, and it wasn't until I got back to my desk and calculated the distance on gmap-pedometer that I realized it was actually 4.3 miles. So what I though was a nice pace ended up being about 30 seconds/mile too fast. Go figure. I was wondering why I felt more winded than normal running today - I thought it was maybe because I still was carrying too much food from eating a lot over the weekend. Nope. Guess again. Well, now I know the distance better, and no harm done, and no sunburn (hopefully - I'll have to check it out later today). |
