Ran 3.0 miles easy this morning, at about 9:00/mile pace, felt nice and easy, I can definitely tell the difference between these last two runs and my other runs. There is really no cardiovascular stress, and much less muscular stress on my body (good thing). I was also motivated by Sasha to continue losing weight and get down to the 160-155 range. My weight was definitely a determining factor in my getting injured late last year, and I want to keep my weight out of the equation. After I finished my run, ran another 1.0 miles with my wife and with Sasha before going to work. I'm going to try to start up this habit of getting up early and running about 3 easy miles for a few weeks. Once I get used to that, I will start slowly adding miles. |
