Personal:

I was married in 1997 to my beautiful wife Lybi (confessions of a piano teacher on the blog), and we have 3 wonderful boys who are just as active as I was when I was little (he he). I grew up in southeastern Michigan, and my family became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 6. I attended BYU, and served a mission in Berlin, Germany. After graduating from BYU with a degree in Health and Human Performance (pre-physical therapy), I promptly changed careers and started working with computers (although no programming for me). We have moved across the country several times, and currently live in Mesa, AZ.  I work in computer security for a major nationwide homebuilder.

Ran 5 miles this afternoon before Webelos, average pace of 7:27/mile.  Decided this would be all I would do today, as my piriformis has been quite sore.  Since I am scheduled for my chiro appt tomorrow, I wanted to take it easy today and get adjusted tomorrow.  I am certain that my pelvis is out, along with probably most of my back and neck.  Lybi also showed me her piriformis stretch, and boy, could I feel it!  I am going to keep doing that after I run in addition to the other stretches I do.  I also need to get back on board with my core exercises.

The real benefit of that stretch is for amusing people who watch you do it. *Snicker*

Hope the chiro appt. goes well.

Tomorrow is our big fitness-themed ward party, and I am counting on you winning stuff. :)

You guys will have to tell us about the fitness ward party. Never been to one of those. Sounds like a great idea to get a ward a little motivated about fitness! Lybi, we are planning on you winning stuff too!

How about "most enthusiastic"? I should bring my pom-poms. JK.

From Kim on Fri, Jan 25, 2008 at 11:07:30

Does enthusiastic mean the same as a rabble rouser? (Definition of rabble rouser...someone who stirs up strong feelings in a crowd). I think cheerleader fits in that category! I think we could give you the rabble rouser award right here on this blog! We sure are glad to have such a cute and fun rabble rouser amongst us!

(Sorry James, I guess this is your blog, not Lybi's. Good luck with the chiro!
