Personal:

I was married in 1997 to my beautiful wife Lybi (confessions of a piano teacher on the blog), and we have 3 wonderful boys who are just as active as I was when I was little (he he). I grew up in southeastern Michigan, and my family became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 6. I attended BYU, and served a mission in Berlin, Germany. After graduating from BYU with a degree in Health and Human Performance (pre-physical therapy), I promptly changed careers and started working with computers (although no programming for me). We have moved across the country several times, and currently live in Mesa, AZ.  I work in computer security for a major nationwide homebuilder.

Got my second pair of Adrenalines today, and promptly took them out for a run.  Ran 7.0 miles this evening after we got back home from San Diego.  Man, I really appreciate cooler weather after having gotten back home to find out that the temperature today was 107.  Sheesh.  It was still in the 90's when I went running.  The run felt good, especially after sitting in the minivan for 6 hours, but I didn't particularly like the temperature.

James, I love the Garmin, but, it has been difficult to feel like I am running against time everyday. Your right, great tool, I see your St. George running goal is under 3:30, is that this year's goal? Good luck, may see you at St. George.

Did you get the 205 or 305? I got the 205, sometimes I wish I had gotten the 305 for the HR functionality, but I love it anyhow. I just like having lots of options. Sometimes I use the workout feature to run against a goal, sometimes I just hit the start button and start running, with no time goal, although I do have it set to show my average pace. Just lots of cool stuff. I set it up with my info, and installed the training center software, and I can also view information about my run afterwards including time/pace for each lap as well as calories burned. Hope to see you at St. George, too - looks like you could still kick my butt in the marathon . . .
