Personal:

I was married in 1997 to my beautiful wife Lybi (confessions of a piano teacher on the blog), and we have 3 wonderful boys who are just as active as I was when I was little (he he). I grew up in southeastern Michigan, and my family became members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 6. I attended BYU, and served a mission in Berlin, Germany. After graduating from BYU with a degree in Health and Human Performance (pre-physical therapy), I promptly changed careers and started working with computers (although no programming for me). We have moved across the country several times, and currently live in Mesa, AZ.  I work in computer security for a major nationwide homebuilder.

AM - ran 6.1 easy miles.  Calf was a little sore again, probably because I ran too hard last night.  I wonder if I will ever learn.  Total time this morning was 51:16, average pace of 8:25/mile.  Took it real easy the first mile and warmed up, then got into a good rhythm.  Ran with music again, the time seemed to go by quickly.

What?!? That's it buddy, you are grounded from running without a slow training partner. (I volunteer!) Hey, I need to get a tempo run in anyway, we should get a sitter tomorrow night.

I'm off to the Dr. If they decide to reset his arm right there I am going to faint...

you're so cute - I always enjoy your comments. I would love to get in a run with you. Call the sitter - I'm all over that like a donkey on a waffle.

I had it ex-rayed about a week ago but it was negitive for a stress fracture, I have a elipitical glider so I might try that for a while and see how I do...

I don't know... I was thinking if I am going to take anytime off it should be now, that would leave a whole month or so to get back up to where I am now, what do you think? I would appreciate any advice you could give me...

Well, there is no reason to be totally down, which is why I mentioned alternatives to help you keep the fitness you have gained. If you have access to a gym with a pool, underwater running would probably be the absolute best. Elliptical will be good, as would anything else that will be low to no impact, while providing a good aerobic workout. Just don't let this get you down - keep working on your fitness in any way that you can other than pounding the pavement.
